Acupuncture is a therapeutic technique based on the stimulation of specific anatomical points using fine, sterile needles. This stimulation triggers neurophysiological responses involving both the central and peripheral nervous systems, as well as the release of biochemical mediators such as endorphins. Clinically, acupuncture is recognized for its effectiveness in pain management, musculoskeletal disorders, and certain functional conditions. It is part of an integrative approach aimed at improving function, reducing pain, and optimizing quality of life.

Erick treats a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions affecting the entire body. In the neck, upper back, and shoulder region, acupuncture can help relieve cervical pain and stiffness, cervical spondylosis, torticollis, cervicogenic headaches, muscular tension, as well as conditions such as frozen shoulder, rotator cuff injuries, bursitis, and shoulder tendinitis.

For the upper limbs, this approach is beneficial in treating epicondylitis (tennis elbow and golfer’s elbow), forearm sprains, elbow bursitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, wrist sprains, trigger finger, De Quervain’s tenosynovitis, and arthritic pain in the fingers and hands.

In the back, pelvis, and hip area, acupuncture can help relieve acute and chronic low back pain, lumbar disc herniation, sciatica, sacroiliac dysfunction, spinal stenosis, facet syndrome, postural pain, hip osteoarthritis, trochanteric bursitis, piriformis syndrome, and pelvic girdle pain.

For the lower limbs, Erick treats conditions such as knee osteoarthritis, patellofemoral syndrome, meniscal injuries, ligament sprains, bursitis, patellar tendinopathy (jumper’s knee), ankle sprains, Achilles tendinitis, plantar fasciitis, heel spurs, Morton’s neuroma, metatarsalgia, and arthritic toe pain.

More broadly, acupuncture can also assist in the treatment of muscle strains, ligament sprains, myofascial pain syndrome, fibromyalgia, acute and chronic sports injuries, overuse injuries, post-fracture pain and stiffness, post-surgical musculoskeletal pain, and chronic soft tissue inflammation.
