Kinatex Sports Physio is proud to announce the launch of a new telerehabilitation program.
With this new program, Kinatex Sports Physio hopes to improve the accessibility of various specialized rehabilitation services to all Quebecers. This initiative is all the more important during the social distancing measures currently in place during the Covid-19 crisis.
As well as helping alleviate and support the healthcare system, virtual treatment services contribute to the well-being and quality of life of patients during this time of social isolation.
Offered across all 42 clinics, this service allows the patient to have a virtual consultation with a therapist. Via computer, cell phone, or tablet, the therapist is able to evaluate the patient’s condition, follow up on an existing condition, or recommend treatments adapted to the patient’s needs.
The following services are offered:
Pelvic and Perineal Rehabilitation
The service is available to people who have suffered an at-work accident (CNESST), to those who were in a car accident (SAAQ) as well as to private clients.
As soon as the first official government announcements were made and social distancing measures were enacted, Kinatex Sports Physio put into place emergency clinics while ensuring rigorous and strict precautions were established to protect their patients and team members.
Emergency clinics began on March 23rd, treating patients in-clinic whose cases needed urgent intervention by a professional physiotherapist. This ensured that patients did not need to go to the hospitals or emergency rooms, thus alleviating the healthcare system.
Since the inception of these emergency clinics, over 2000 patients have been treated by our devoted therapists throughout the province.
These measures were put into place after discussions and recommendations were made by the government of Québec, The Ordre professionnel de la physiothérapie du Québec and the Fédération des cliniques de physiothérapie du Québec.
